CLAUDE CODE ENVIRONMENT

Claude Code risk self-check: know what the browser can test

This is a browser environment self-check. It does not scan the Claude Code installation, terminal configuration, MCP secrets, or local applications.

A browser check is not a Claude Code installation scan

When FK Claude is open, it sees the current browser request and browser API data. Claude Code is a local CLI with its own version, login authorization, terminal environment, and network path. A browser result cannot establish that every CLI setting is correct.

What the browser result can still help confirm

  • Whether the current web exit region appears on the public support list.
  • Whether the network has obvious hosting, proxy, or incomplete-data indicators.
  • Whether browser timezone, language, and exit region have a major conflict.
  • Whether the browser is outdated, storage-restricted, or automation-like.

These points help order troubleshooting. They do not replace CLI logs, official error messages, or account support.

Official web authorization is not a third-party CLI risk

The official Claude Code web OAuth flow is a normal login method. The concern is giving an account, session, authorization code, or API key to an untrusted third-party CLI, script, or extension.

When to reinstall Claude Code

Reinstall from official documentation only for damaged client files, version problems, or failed upgrades. Account suspension, regional eligibility, billing, and server-side history do not disappear after reinstalling.

Preserve the exact error first, then verify the version, official installation source, and authorization flow. Do not clear device traces to evade account association.
